Child Care Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Child Care Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Your role will involve engaging with toddlers and ensuring their safety while fostering their growth through various educational activities.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Provide attentive care to toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques.
• Educate children on basic life skills, social interactions, and problem-solving.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive teaching approach and share best practices.
• Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and safe for all students.
• Stay informed about childhood development trends and best practices in daycare settings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in daycare or toddler care is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
• Experience working with students with disabilities is desirable.
• Strong caregiving skills with the ability to nurture children’s growth in a supportive environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to create engaging educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
• A passion for educating young minds and fostering their development in a safe setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
