Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks, to efficiently load and unload materials, as well as support shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety and adherence to OSHA regulations while ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the distribution center.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks, to move products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any issues that arise during operations.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including order pickers and other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
