Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Reach Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our facility. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA regulations while ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and storage areas safely and efficiently.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the warehouse supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and updating records as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations related to forklift operation.
- Experience working with various types of material handling equipment, including cranes, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
