Essential Functions
- Read, interpret, and understand engineering prints and specifications
- Compare dimensional reports with print dimensions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Generate and define critical dimensional tolerances for various components
- Organize and input test data and reports into an electronic database for tracking and analysis
- Set up and perform functional tests, documenting and reporting results in formal test reports
- Facilitate communication and flow of information across functional areas for approvals and decision-making
- Work closely with quality, purchasing, and operations teams to provide reports and clarify test results
- Must be a hands-on individual, capable of learning to change and balance tire assemblies using a variety of equipment
- Maintain positive, effective working relationships with all team members and departments
- Must meet Coats Internship Program application requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous intern or co-op experience in metal manufacturing, with sheet metal experience (forming, welding, assembly) being a plus
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems is a plus
- Working knowledge of CAD software (Creo is a plus)
- Proficiency in PC skills and MS Office applications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands-on mentality and problem-solving skills
- Positive, proactive self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented environment
