The Packaging Compliance Analyst (PCA) is a key contributor to successful packaging graphics development auditing all Coca-Cola North America packaging programs to ensure The Coca-Cola Company standards, Federal and State regulations and Print Quality requirements are met. Using various internal processes and technologies, the PCA helps minimize the Company’s overall risk of costly packaging recalls due to errors/omissions. The PCA also promotes consistent visual standards across all packaging substrates and challenges suppliers to continuously improve through process development.

Job Description Summary

Using various internal processes and technologies, the PCA helps minimize the Company’s overall risk of costly packaging recalls due to errors/omissions. The PCA also promotes consistent visual standards across all packaging substrates and challenges suppliers to continuously improve through process development.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Promote consistency through auditing creative, production and separation artwork using the Compliance Standard Operating Policy Manual and various software tools to minimize errors in the marketplace
- Maintain a working knowledge of guidelines, exceptions and associated risk through collaboration with internal departments (Brand, Design, Trademark, Deposit, Legal and Science and Regulatory Affairs (SRA))
- Gather and report key supplier metrics and current program status to Packaging Graphics team
- Attend creative hand-off meetings with the assigned Packaging Graphics Manager (PGM), Designer, Information Specialist and Print Quality Assurance
- Organize and maintain project history records and in the event of a crisis, gather and organize project information to support leadership decision-marking
- Create, maintain and distribute the Compliance Standard Operating Policy Manual
- When required, assist/co-lead regulatory packaging projects
- Establishes and maintains relationships with Brand, Design, Trademark, Deposit, Legal and SRA to allow for open communication and better understanding of Federal and State regulations
- Learns to effectively use online software tools and maintains a working knowledge of The Coca-Cola Company standards, Federal and State regulations and Print Quality requirements to eliminate the possibility of errors on packaging graphics
- Ideally has a general understanding of print production and color management
- Provides graphic placement recommendations to PGMs and Design when creative or production artwork does not meet The Coca-Cola Company standards, Federal and State regulations or Print Quality requirements
- Reports and assesses supplier metrics to identify the need for training and/or process improvements to reduce artwork turnaround time and increase quality of output
- Ability to respond and balance immediate and long-term priorities to meet in-marketing timing
- Expected to work overtime and weekends as necessary to deliver projects on time
- Provide timely approval or rejection of packaging graphics artwork in accordance with The Coca-Cola Company standards, Federal and State regulations and Print Quality requirements
- Must be highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Help contribute to and maintain the Compliance Standard Operating Policies and procedures
- When required, assists with regulatory packaging projects
