Job Description Summary :

We are seeking a passionate Principal Industrial Designer, to join our Package Design Studio as lead End to End designer. In this dynamic role, you will drive the complete end-to-end packaging development process, emphasizing engineering and the development of packaging and technologies. You will lead the creation of meaningful experiences between our brands and consumers by designing, engineering, and developing next-generation packaging concepts from initial idea to final execution. As a key player, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure innovative and consumer-friendly solutions.

What You'll Do for Us :

  • End-to-End Packaging Design Development : Lead the design and engineering of next-generation of consumer-centric packaging concepts from initial idea through development and commercialization. Manage the full end-to-end packaging development process with cross-functional collaborations, ensuring seamless integration of design, engineering, and development.
  • Design Capability Development : Research new opportunities, methodologies, and technologies that enhance packaging design and functionality. Operationalize these learnings into internal capabilities for the Packaging Design Studio. Oversee the creation of prototypes using 3D printing, label printing, and other technologies.
  • Design Best Practices Stewardship : Support the Senior Director, Design & Digital in maintaining global stewardship of packaging design best practices that are meaningful for consumer recruitment & retention, as well as system operational efficiency. Support and enable Engineer, Packaging Industrial Design for design development.
  • Technical Problem Solving : Provide engineering expertise for design projects, ensuring feasibility through Design-For-Manufacturing principles. Employ a holistic understanding of the TCCS and operational efficiencies to design developments to provide guidance to the Global Packaging Network.
  • Internal Influence : Collaborate seamlessly with Engineering & Conversion, GDI, Brand, and Category partners to deliver consumer-centric packaging designs. Use ideation and storytelling techniques to communicate design concepts and user experiences effectively. Support the development of presentation materials and marketing collateral to showcase design concepts and prototypes.
  • Competitive Benchmarking : Track new market entrants globally and assess their packaging effectiveness. Share the learnings across the global network and operationalize into new packaging design opportunities. Maintain active industry engagement to stay current with the latest developments in external design agencies.
  • Project Management : Lead and oversee projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Required :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in packaging design, industrial design, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Solid understanding of beverage manufacturing, Glass, Injection, and Injection Stretch Blow-Molding (ISBM) manufacturing processes, and design requirements for successful commercialization.
  • Strong proficiency in concept ideation and consumer-centric design techniques.
  • High Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software ( Catia , Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Proven portfolio of winning designs and technology development that demonstrates capabilities across the full end-to-end development process.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey design ideas and consumer experiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
  • Preferred :

  • Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in packaging design.
  • Experience with 3D printing and prototype modeling.
  • Ability to create effective storyboards and user experience mockups.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools and graphic design skills.

    120,000 - $149,000

    Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
