Hostess/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service while managing the flow of guests in our restaurant. Your ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming atmosphere will be essential in ensuring a positive dining experience.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
• Manage the seating chart and efficiently seat guests based on availability and guest preferences.
• Take orders and process payments using the POS system
• Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, striving to resolve issues promptly.
• Support food service operations by assisting with takeout orders or other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential for this role.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
