What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Manager - Horizon position at The Coffee Class?
We are looking for a Kitchen Manager for our Henderson cafe location. We expect a busy kitchen with multiple shifts. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.

- Lead the kitchen team (prep, bake-off, line)
- Help in the preparation of all food menus and drink syrups
- Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Coach on quality standards as needed
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately

- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Lead and set strategic direction for the kitchen team and baking team
- Proven experience as a sous chef or kitchen manager
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Minimum 2 years of management/leadership experience required
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Serve Safe Management Certification
- Extremely clean and organized
- Demonstrable leadership ability and coaching ability
