We're not your average coffee shop. Located in the heart of Raleigh Hills, we’re a bustling, community-driven café known for our specialty coffee, warm vibes, and a scratch-made food menu that’s anything but basic. We pride ourselves on serving thoughtful, simple and delicious breakfast and brunch items at a quick pace. We are growing and looking to expand the menu and hours to serve the neighborhood better.
The Role:We’re looking for an experienced, passionate Sous Chef to join our tight-knit coffee shop crew. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where prep is just as important as plating. You’ll be working side-by-side with the Owner to lead the back-of-house operations, keep service smooth, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Responsibilities:- Assist in daily kitchen operations, including prep, cooking, and expediting during peak hours
- Lead by example and help train/mentor line cooks and prep staff
- Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Contribute to seasonal menu development and special offerings
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to meet health and safety standards
- Support inventory tracking, ordering, and minimizing waste
- 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or strong Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen
- Solid understanding of kitchen techniques, knife skills and food safety practices
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to keep cool under pressure
- Creative and collaborative spirit—bonus points if you love breakfast/brunch!
- Available to work early mornings, weekends, and some holidays
