Adjunct faculty will work closely with the Program Director, interdisciplinary faculty, and external partners to create dynamic, evidence-based course materials that support doctoral-level learners. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the DMSc Program Director and faculty team to design and develop course content for one or more of the program’s tracks (Clinical, Education, Leadership).
- Ensure course objectives, assignments, and assessments align with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
- Incorporate best practices in instructional design to create engaging and learner-centered curricula for online delivery.
- Integrate principles of social justice, equity, and cultural competence into curriculum development to reflect the diverse needs of healthcare learners and patient populations.
- Develop Capstone-related support materials, research proposal templates, and instructional guides, as appropriate.
- Participate in faculty meetings and provide updates on course development progress.
- Doctoral degree (DMSc, DSc, PhD, EdD, or equivalent) in a relevant healthcare, education, or leadership field.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or other relevant healthcare professional license.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or online education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Commitment to addressing healthcare disparities and fostering innovation within the PA profession.
- Experience mentoring or advising graduate/doctoral-level students.
- Publication history or significant experience with academic research.
- Familiarity with Brightspace or other learning management systems (LMS).
