The Program Director is a full-time faculty member of the nursing department with additional responsibilities for program administration which are factored into workload. The director will collaborate with department faculty and staff to foster a culture of civility and inclusion in support of College diversity.

Job Summary

Key Results/Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing operations of the program
- Serve as a content expert and primary contact for the specialty/program
- Coordinate curriculum updates/changes for the program
- Play a key role in assuring regulatory and accreditation compliance
- Review the curriculum and policies for compliance with the MN Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
- Assist with course evaluation, program evaluation, and data collection
- Assist with onboarding of new faculty
- Coach and mentor faculty
- Evaluate fulltime and adjunct faculty assigned to the program
- Determine the following with approval of department chair:
- Faculty resource needs
- Equipme nt resource needs
- Faculty loads and assignments
- Course schedule development
- Play a lead role in admission of program students
- Play a lead role in program orientation events
- Assist in coordination of program recruitment events when needed
- Serve as a primary contact concerning student issues
- Contribute information for grant applications to support the program and/or department
- Teaching expectations within the program (50% administrative release)
- Carries full advising load for the program
- Must have an RN license in the State of Minnesota, or the ability to obtain licensure in the State of Minnesota
- Must have a masters degree (or higher) in nursing
- Prior teaching experience
- Excellent communication and human relationship skills
- Terminal degree in nursing or a related field
- Prior experience in nursing or higher education leadership
