The Career Center Placement Coordinator will work independently in performing case management functions and advanced administrative duties pursuant to the goals and operational needs of the Career Center. Interview and screen customers to determine needs and provide resources. Conduct Initial Assessment Application updates, provide client follow-up, data entry, file management, and other related support services duties. Actively develop, build, and maintain relationships with local employers to identify potential job opportunities for program customers; match qualified job seekers with employers’ placement needs; provide job coaching and job counseling to program customers; and monitor Employ Florida Marketplace to ensure complete and updated job seeker registrations. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Director, Career Center.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Greet all customers in a friendly manner and direct customers to program staff and Career Center resources.2. Explain eligibility requirements, form completion requirements, and community resources for program eligibility.3. Conduct orientations and collect documents for program eligibility.4. Prepare and assist applicants in completion of routine intake and other program forms.5. Organize and maintain hard copies and electronic files following SFW policy and procedures.6. Prepare and compile customer caseload reports for leadership review.7. Monitor Employ Florida Marketplace to ensure complete and updated job seeker registrations as directed.8. Identify and develop employment opportunities for program customers.9. Place program customers by matching qualified job seekers with employers’ placement needs.10. Provide job coaching and job counseling to program customers.11. Develop and maintain data related to placements.12. Assist with the collection and dissemination of placement data; maintain knowledge of current job trends and recruitment strategies.13. Seek out and attend training opportunities to keep current on skills and trends that will enhance services provided by the Career Center.14. Participate in business and trade organizations and/or events that promote workforce and economic development.15. Conduct follow-up services and document placement and retention in case file.16. Performs a variety of office management functions and administrative duties requiring an extensive working knowledge of the Career Center and programs.17. Assist in College recruitment and retention efforts, as appropriate.18. Required to attend Graduation/Commencement ceremonies.19.
