Summary:The Technology Services Project Specialist is responsible for providing direct project-based support to client offices and departments. Support will include project scoping, assisting with development, functional documents, determining solution lifecycle, and business process documentation. The Technology Services Project Specialist will use the full suite of campus licensed applications to provide solutions to individual offices and departments. Technology routinely used would be Microsoft Power BI for reporting and visualization, Power Automate for workflow and process automation, and Microsoft Power Apps for end user interface. - Provides consultation, designs, builds, and maintains projects.
- Serves as a bridge between Technology Services and campus departments.
- Creates and maintains various documents for delivered solutions.
- Monitors and suggests process modifications for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Assists client offices with solutions and addresses their needs.
- Handles conflicts and promotes customer-centric principles.
- Identifies and provides training opportunities for faculty, staff, and students.
- Collaborates with IT staff and other departments on policies and program assessments.
- Applies knowledge of Office 365, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps to client office needs and challenges.
- Maintains positive relationships with internal and external constituents.
- Delegates work and participates in college-wide organizations and committees as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Customer service experience.
- Experience in a dynamic and engaging work environment.
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience preferred.
- Experience managing projects and competing priorities preferred.
- Ability to think critically and creatively.
- Ability to interpret documents such as usage manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Demonstrated expertise with standard Office 365 applications and cloud services.
- Expertise in Microsoft Power platforms, including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Dataverse.
- Ability to write and execute SQL database queries.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to effectively manage time and multi-task.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and evolving solutions.
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Although this position typically staffs during normal business hours, the schedule must be flexible to accommodate events, requests, and installations that are occasionally in the evenings and on weekends.
- Frequently required to repair computers and peripherals, thus, close vision and precise dexterity is required.
- Lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds; lifting and moving of items of greater weight is typically assisted by hand carts.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
