General responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Teaching rigorous curriculum in a high-quality and exciting way
• Thriving as part of a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture and implementing school-wide policies within classrooms and throughout the campus
• Committing to constant professional growth through feedback, coaching, and professional development
• Using student achievement data to set ambitious academic goals for students
• Constantly assessing student progress, and communicating results to families and colleagues
• Providing individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistance
• Committing to tutoring, after school activities, and being a part of the larger school community
Qualified candidates have:
• Bachelor’s Degree required (relevant fields include education, math, science, interdisciplinary studies)
• At least two years of working with youth
• Ability to further education to become licensed in the state of North Carolina - Required acceptance to EPP Program
A teaching demonstration is required. Ability to work on-campus and remote is required.
Licensed teachers teach 4 days a week. Friday remote planning work.
