POSITION PURPOSE:
Seeking seasonal outdoor bartender. The primary responsibility of the bartender is to provide unmatched customer service through the prompt and accurate delivery of beverage service to pool side guests and servers. We are seeking a candidate who is friendly, proactive, guest service-centric, and is knowledgeable about spirits, beer and the local area.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant; including knowledge of state and local liquor regulations.
- Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing up-selling techniques; answer outlet telephone using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using proper measuring systems; preparing fresh garnishes for drinks and restocking the bar with ice, supplies and alcohol.
- Accurately enter food & beverage orders into a point-of-sale system. Process all payment methods. Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Ability to work with others and be a team player.
Skills, Abilities and Experience needed to be successful
- Candidates must be at legal age take drink orders, mix drinks and serve alcohol.
- Must have at least two years of bartending experience in a high volume restaurant.
- Prefer candidates with hotel experience.
- Must be available to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
The Pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day (weather permitting).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach with hands and arms. Ability to carry and balance dishware and glassware in the course of service. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
