Are you passionate about music and love sharing your knowledge with others? Soundcheck Rock Academy is looking for (2) piano / keyboard and voice instructors to join our team! Here's a sneak peek at what the role entails :
Providing private or semi-private music instruction to students on various instruments
Coaching small rock / pop ensembles for live performances and recordings
Assisting with music school administrative tasks as needed
To rock this role, here's what you'll need :
Strong understanding of music concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively
Proficiency in playing a musical instrument (multi-instrumentalists are a plus!)
Basic sound equipment operation skills
Willingness to receive and apply constructive feedback on teaching techniques
Advanced knowledge of music theory and technique related to primary instruments
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and management
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle changes with ease
A background check clearance
Qualifications :
Teaching certificate and / or degrees in music are preferred
Enrollment in a music degree program is also considered
Experience in the subject area may be substituted for degree or licensure
Proficient English speaking and writing skills (additional languages are a plus)
Physical Demands :
Ability to move and handle music equipment
Physical agility to navigate the music studio and event venues
Work Environment :
Basic office environment
Music Studio
Music event venues in the metro area around the school
