Medical Director - Psychiatrist
Location : Delaware
Hours : 10-Hours Per Week - 1099 Opportunity
Great moonlighting opportunity for a General Psychiatrist or C&A Psychiatrist to serve in a Medical Director position assisting with policy and process development for the children’s behavioral health system in Delaware. Majority of work done remotely, with occasional on-site requirements.
Compensation : Highly competitive hourly pay rate, negotiable.
Essential Duties :
- Assisting with policy and process development and implementation for the children‘s behavioral health system consistent with best practice and CARF standards.
- Provide psychiatric consultation to division staff and key stakeholders.
- Deliver training on medication, diagnosis, and other topics.
- Provide oversight of health care contracts including psychiatric prescribers and pharmacy consultants.
- Review treatment service continued stay and discharge appeals and conduct quality assurance reviews of contracted prescribing services.
- The position may provide direct psychiatric services to youth in DPBHS operated facilities including initial psychiatric evaluation and medication management on an as-needed basis.
