Litigation Associate Attorney- Family Law

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney with at least 6 months of litigation experience to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling contested family law cases, including court appearances, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law litigation, including divorce, custody, support, and restraining order cases
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
- Appear in court for hearings, trials, and settlement conferences
- Provide strategic legal counsel to clients and guide them through the litigation process
- Work collaboratively with support staff and fellow attorneys to ensure optimal case outcomes
- Engage in negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes when possible
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in NY
- 6 months of litigation experience
- Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate client service while maintaining professionalism in high-conflict situations
