What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Secretary position at The Comfort Home Place?
The Comfort Home Place serves, houses, and empowers individuals who have experienced domestic violence. We are looking for a volunteer to operate on our board of directors as our Secretary. This volunteer position will only require about 5 hours of your time per week. You would be completing the following tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of board meetings, including minutes, policies, and bylaws.
- Manage official correspondence for the board.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit reporting requirements.
- Work with the Board Chair and Vice Chair to distribute meeting agendas and materials.
Desired Qualifications
While this position is currently a volunteer role requiring minimal time input, we will be looking to expand board roles into full-time, paid positions in the future.
