Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Drug test
- Criminal Background check – over five years since prior conviction
- TB skin test: Must have a test or provide proof of one within the past year.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current automobile insurance.
- Must have a Master’s degree or higher within the human service field. Must hold independent licensure within the state. Prefer a LCSW.
Position Summary: The Executive Director (ED) ensures the proper implementation and interpretation of personnel policies and procedures, personnel actions, program operations, financial operations, internal monitoring and corporate business compliance in accordance with the agency's mission. All personnel actions are subject to the approval of the ED.
Skill Sets: Demonstrate good oral and written communications. Maintain a supportive and encouraging working relationship with co-workers and residents. Participate in the initiation, coordination and implementation of the referral plan. Follow-through, monitor and evaluate activities related to the recovery of the client. Community-based experience is preferred. Basic computer skills, strong customer service orientation, excellent verbal and written communication skills and well-developed presentation skills are required.
Physical and Environmental Demands: Visual acuity and manual dexterity are needed for completing required paperwork. Frequent talking and hearing are needed for communicating with leaders, families, and other service providers. The physical demands are light with walking, standing, and occasional stooping. Possible exposure to communicable diseases can occur during contact with individuals released from various locations i.e. jails, hospitals, unsanitary conditions, rehabilitation centers, etc. The Executive Director is expected to be on-call 24/7 and respond by phone in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to provide quality customer service to personnel, clients, families and stakeholders.
- Helps maintain the health safety and welfare of personnel, clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure the agency is operating under CARF accreditation standards.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal licensure and regulations.
- Make decisions in relation to day-to-day operations and consult with CEO on larger agency decisions.
- Oversee the structure and report findings to the CEO.
- Supervise employees, complete performance evaluations and approve leave.
- Participate and provide leadership within the agency and continue quality improvement and quality assurance.
- Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual report to agency detailing areas of responsibility (grievances, accessibility, outreach, and supervision).
- Interview and recommend employees personnel action (hiring, firing promotions, etc.)
- Promote awareness to the community.
- Develop policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all state laws, regulation and requirements and which promote the consistent attainment of Our Vison, Mission and Values.
- Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the recovery program.
- Provide guidance and consultation to AED on client grievances.
- Provide billing supervision for Case Management and approve all documentation.
- Provide billing supervision for peer supports and approve all documentation.
- Provide billing supervision for all clinicians, therapists, and counselors.
- Provide licensure supervision for TCADC, CADC, and LPCA’s within the agency.
- Complete all state and national utilization surveys.
- Collaborate with CEO to complete annual Program Analysis and develop Performance Improvement Plan.
- Collaborate with Director of Operations to complete all licensing and certification applications.
- Conduct peer to peer reviews of clinical documentation and provide guidance based on findings.
- Conduct Services Rendered audit and provide written Services Rendered report to CEO weekly.
