Position Title: Facilities Maintenance

Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Drug test
- Criminal Background check – over one year since prior conviction
- TB skin test: Must have a test or provide proof of one within the past year.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. with equivalent experience in a related field.
Position Summary: Perform an extensive range of work in the repair and routine maintenance of facilities, buildings and equipment under general supervision.
Skill Sets: Ability to use power and hand tools efficiently. Should be able to follow oral or written instructions. Demonstrate good oral and written communications. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Physical and Environmental Demands: Visual acuity and manual dexterity are needed for required paperwork. Frequent talking and hearing are required when communicating with co-workers, families, and other service providers. Physical demands are light with walking, standing, and occasional stooping.
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to provide quality customer service to personnel, clients, families and stakeholders.
- Helps maintain the health, safety, and welfare of personnel, clients and stakeholders.
- Perform general repair and maintenance at facilities, on the grounds, and for equipment.
- Use basic skills in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier and painting.
- Repair showers, floors, sinks, walls, carpets, and roofs.
- Perform minor repairs, troubleshoot, and adjust locks on cabinets, locks, closets, desks.
- Repair door hinges, clean plugged key slots, change filters on ventilation, heating, and air conditioning units.
- Replace light bulbs in all facilities.
- Ensure all fire extinguishers are inspected and tagged.
- Landscaping at all facilities.
- Perform weekly vehicle inspection including recording weekly odometer readings.
- Basic snow and ice removal
- Collaborate with Program Manager and place weekly supply orders.
- Daily rounds to check all facilities to damage such as holes in walls, rust, broken glass, etc.
- Basic pest control
- Ensure and maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Activate and deactivate building alarms and respond to alarm calls during and after regular work hours
- Assist in the quality assurance of the agency.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with the state licensure requirements.
- Assist with transportation of clients or supplies if needed.
