What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expeditor and Food Runner position at The Common Man?
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area
- Ensure that all food items are prepared and delivered in a timely manner
- Communicate with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations
-Assist in running food to the dining room.
- Assist in food preparation and plating when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining area
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional customer service
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Culinary or restaurant experience is a plus
