CHURCH MEMBERSHIP:
By joining the The Commons Staff team you and your spouse (if applicable) are automatically approved as Members of The Commons Church. As staff and members you will be placed under the leadership and shepherding of the Elders of this Church. We will expect and inspect your leadership in faithful attendance, service, and giving.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Figure out where you want to plant a church
- Participate in local and national church planting candidate training

- Year 1: The Salt Company

- Embed with the Salt Company staff team for the purpose of learning Salt Company while helping give leadership and horsepower for reaching MSU. This will include:
- Discipling Salt Company Student Leaders
- Evangelizing lost students through Salt Company ministries
- Providing assistance and leadership for the execution of Salt Company ministry activities (meeting set-ups, mission trip team selections, leader interviews, event preparation, and other duties as assigned)
- Preaching regularly at Salt Company
- Other responsibilities assigned by direct supervisor
- Embed with the Salt Company staff team for the purpose of learning Salt Company while helping give leadership and horsepower for reaching MSU. This will include:

- Year 2: The Commons

- Embed with the community side of our staff team for the purpose of gaining experience leading outside of the college ministry context while giving leadership and horsepower for reaching our city. This will include:
- Giving leadership to Connection Groups
- Preaching regularly on Sunday mornings and at Salt Company
- Giving leadership and providing help for the execution of other ministry happening in the life of our church
- Other responsibilities assigned by direct supervisor
- Embed with the community side of our staff team for the purpose of gaining experience leading outside of the college ministry context while giving leadership and horsepower for reaching our city. This will include:

- Fundraising

- You will be responsible for raising $1500 in monthly support for ministry at The Commons Church. This will also help you to begin building your support team for when you plant.

- The Commons Church Staff Member

- Full participation in The Commons staff related meetings/events.
- Serve weekly in one of our ministries during Sunday morning services.
In a sentence, your responsibility is to be a fully functioning member of our staff team at The Commons while preparing to plant a church in 2025.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- It is preferred that there is some sort of theological training
- Proven experience in prior ministry context (it is preferred that there is proven experience in the college ministry context)
- Calling to plant a church
