Job Description
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate licensed practical nurse to provide services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Evaluation and Stabilization Program within the Southeast Region in Wrentham, MA.
This position requires specialized training and involves providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors. The selected candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, possess strong leadership skills, and be able to remain calm in high-stress situations. They will also be skilled in navigating Microsoft operating systems and have the ability to transcribe, read, and comprehend the English language.
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess a current and active license to practice as an LPN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Must obtain and maintain Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PABC Certified and/or PABC trainer.
- Experience working with challenging behaviors.
- Working knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) and how to implement across all settings.
