JOB SUMMARY
This position guides and empowers individuals to enhance the overall quality of their lives. Identify clients’ passions, strengths, and values, and help the align these with their career choices and relationships. Assist clients overcome obstacles and achieving personal and professional growth by providing guidance, support, and accountability, ultimately empowering them to achieve success and fulfillment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Salary Range: $60,500 to $62,000
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists clients identify and develop essential skills, such as communication, time management, and problem solving.
- Assists clients understand their values, strengths, and areas of improvement.
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with clients
- Provide encouragement, motivation, and a supportive environment for clients to overcome challenges.
- Assist clients with identifying and resolving obstacles and challenges that may hinder their progress.
- Hold clients accountable for inaction in a supportive but direct way.
- Develop goals, targets, and next steps for clients and celebrate with them when goals are met.
- Meet with clients regularly to discuss progress
- Track progress for each client’s progress.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Keep up to date with the current coaching techniques and best practices.
- May work with senior corporate leaders and managers to help them improve their leadership skills.
- Expected to work evenings and weekends and in the field. Meeting clients where they are.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field OR Associate’s degree or Family Development Credential with 3-5 years’ experience working with lower income families/community.
- Life Coaching Certification or relevant training preferred.

- Active listening: Pay attention to clients, understanding their perspectives and responding thoughtfully.
- Empathy: Understand and share feelings of others, fostering a strong connection and trust.
- Clear and Effective Communication skills.
- Powerful Questioning: Ask insightful questions to assist clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals.
- Non-Judgmental: Create a safe and supportive space for clients to share their experiences without fear or criticism.
- Coaching skills: including goal setting, accountability, problem solving, and encouragement and support
- Strong organizational skills including time management, scheduling, and tracking client progress
- Must be able to adapt and have flexibility based on the unique needs of each client.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
