Description
The Family Advocate is responsible for meeting enrollment targets and providing exceptional support and academic guidance to young parents / guardians with children in our Early Learning program. This position is full time, exempt, and reports to the Senior Director of Early Learning.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to) :
- Collaborate with the center director and / or program designee daily to ensure effective operations, including program management support in the director's absence.
- Provide support and guidance for expecting and young parents seeking to graduate high school.
- Establish positive relationships with young adults through regular meetings and communication. Visit family homes as necessary.
- Develop a parent curriculum and lead regular meetings of young parents, including coordinating outside partner guest speakers and visitors as appropriate.
- Establish, document, monitor, and evaluate appropriate goals with young adults. Coordinate services, referrals, and support, and provide consistent follow-through with their goals.
- Establish positive relationships with school academic counselors and principals and collaborate regularly to support young adults' academic goals.
- Recruit and maintain full child enrollment and slot management for designated program(s).
- Work with TCG's business office to support the child enrollment process.
- Create and / or maintain systems to track and execute EEC licensing requirements across designated program site(s).
- Maintain child files in compliance with all agency and EEC policies.
- Assist in completing all required reporting, billing, and record-keeping, including allergy lists and food counts.
- Help maintain inventory and order office supplies, food for children, and program materials.
- Manage and maintain transportation schedules for children with families and the TCG Business Office.
- Collaborate with the Center Team (including the Director, Office Managers, and Teachers) regarding center activities and collaborative tasks (licensing, family events, companywide events or tasks).
- Other duties as assigned.
