- 110,000-120,000JOB NUMBER : 24-02179REQUIRED EXPERIENCE : 5 yearsCONFIGURATION MANAGER - must create and maintain processes for controlling and tracking product variations throughout the product lifecycle and is responsible for configuration identification, status accounting and verification / audit.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPrimaryEstablish and maintain the record of the product's functional and physical attributes throughout its life cycle.Identify existing product configurations that meet the requirements of new orders and opportunitiesManage dissemination of documentation of part / assembly variations and updatesManage multiple configuration bills of material (BOMs).Product configuration management from manufacturing to deployment or decommissioning as required.Develop and maintain build records and deviations / waiversImplement component lot tracking for mechanical parts and printed circuit board assembliesCapture as-built / as installed dataMaintain service record history, details of field changes, warranty replacements; proactively identify fielded product needing service / upgradeMaintain software / firmware configuration managementInterface with MRP and engineering product data management functions to ensure correct data handoff between departments (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, field service) and tracking of revision history of BOMs changes to address design improvement, cost reduction and parts obsolescenceAssist in optimizing BOM structure for cost and efficiency for both internal manufacturing and external contract manufacturing. - While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to : job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
