JOB DESCRIPTION
The Linux Systems Administrator collaborates with application owners and the infrastructure teams to support Red Hat and other enterprise Linux systems both on-premise and in the cloud. Uses automation to ensure that all Linux systems are properly configured, monitored, maintained and secured. Automation is critical to the team's success in managing the growing complexity and an increasing number of servers and applications. We strive to automate as many administrative tasks as possible.
The selected candidate will work closely with the system administration team to assess and provide recommendations for Linux server SUDO management. They will assist in enhancing visibility and control over local SUDO access across all Linux servers in BC data centers. Currently, BC ITS manages SUDO access locally on individual servers. The goal is to standardize access, improve oversight, and implement consolidated reporting for access remediation.
