Job Description : Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Software Developer for Hardware Software Mapping to work from their Scottsdale, AZ facility. The Web Software Developer we seek will work with a small team to design, build, test, deploy and support enterprise web applications to modernize the management of data and design information developed for our customers. The web applications will allow the product development team to store project data in a relational database, where the data not only provides the customer with complex re-build, upgrade, and sustainment information, but the data is also available for data mining in support of maintaining licensed software installs, license allocation, and system configurations.

Qualifications : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

What you bring to the table :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Subject matter expert (SME) designing. developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining web applications built on the Django Python Framework using a Microsoft SQL Server database for data storage. Key skills and technologies include :
Web Developer with MS SQL Experience
The Django Python Framework
GitLab and Git for version control
Experience with HTML 5, HTMX, JavaScript, and CSS
Able to develop and provide innovative and creative solutions to a variety of difficult problems of considerable scope and complexity, using established precedent and policies
Display initiative on assignments, exercise independent judgment and professionally execute projects with little direction.
A seasoned, experienced professional having a wide range of professional experience and possessing a very strong understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theories and an expert at applying technical standards and methodologies to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
Capable of working on complex problems of diverse scope or situations or data that requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to : job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
