Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Concord Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care and lead a team of nurses and support staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain nursing guidelines by developing and updating policies and procedures.
- Schedule and assign nurses and staff to ensure efficient resident care.
- Create a compassionate environment by providing emotional support to residents and their families.
- Communicate effectively with residents and healthcare teams.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Protect resident confidentiality by handling sensitive information securely.
- Document resident care services accurately and promptly.
- Manage nursing supplies inventory effectively.
- Foster a collaborative relationship among healthcare teams.
- Develop individualized comprehensive care plans for residents.
- Supervise staff and maintain a smooth facility operation.
Requirements
- Hold a valid New York State RN License.
- Prior experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) is preferred.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show willingness to work as part of a cohesive team.
