The Groundman / Dredge Operator will operate the plant, dredge and pit pumps to ensure the plant runs efficiently. This position will operate heavy equipment as needed to aid in production, stockpiling, shipping and maintenance.
What you will do :
- Safely and efficiently operate the plant, any work boats, dredges and pit equipment (includes pit pumps, boosters, and generators.)
- Safely and effectively operate all heavy equipment as assigned.
- Conduct inspections as required by MSHA, before work begins in an area and before use of equipment.
- Ensure the dredge and all pit equipment are properly maintained at all times.
- Maintain effective, timely communication with the QC Tech
- Understand and maintain quality control of sand product
- Perform necessary steps to maximize pit recovery
- Perform general housekeeping of plant and equipment
- Adhere to all policies, safety rules, guidelines and codes, understand and comply with MSHA regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned.
