Responsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules, and standards.
- Knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check daily event sheets, bulletin boards and be up to date with all changes, new procedures, and events.
- Receive and mark baggage by completing and attaching claim checks.
- Transfer luggage, trunks, and packages to and from rooms, loading areas, or vehicles, by hand or using baggage carts.
- Greet incoming guests and escort them to their rooms.
- Guide guests about premises and local areas.
- Supply guests or travelers with directions, travel information, and other information, such as available services and points of interest.
- Explain the operation of room features, such as locks, ventilation systems, and televisions.
- Assist travelers and guests with disabilities.
- Pick up and return items for laundry and valet service.
- Inspect guests' rooms to ensure that they are adequately stocked, orderly, and comfortable.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor;.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Hospitality oriented
- Valid Driver License.
- Must be able to lift to 60 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis, push and pull carts/equipment weighing up to 250 lbs., be able to bend, stop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning and luggage handling.
- Must be able to withstand hot/humid temperatures performing physical duties.
- Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
