Position: Therapist 2
Program: Forensic Program – CTPSB (Center for the Treatment of Problem Sexual Behavior)
Location: Eastern Sites
Salary: $63,626/year
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 1st shift, Monday-Friday
Program Summary:
CTPSB provides treatment services to individuals with problematic sexual behavior. These treatment services help clients to identify triggers, manage risk factors, learn socially acceptable behaviors, and set positive future goals so they do not reoffend.
Position Summary:
The Therapist 2 position is in the Criminal Justice service area in a sex offender treatment program that provides assessments, group and individual treatment to adults in community based settings. The Therapist 2 is responsible for the daily management of operational duties at specific locations of CTPSB. Specific responsibilities include coordination of treatment groups, assessments and other clinical services at assigned locations. The Therapist 2 will serve as the initial liaison with designated supervising offices including collaboration meetings and addressing supervising office requests.
Working within Adult Services, the Therapist 2 works with CTPSB program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients in the community.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work field
- 2 years of related clinical experience
- LCSW, LPC OR LFMT to practice in the mental health field in the State of Connecticut
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
