We are seeking an experienced Senior Director or VP of Finance & Accounting to join a dynamic and growing $2 billion retail company. This is an exciting succession planning opportunity for an ambitious financial leader who aspires to become the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Key Highlights:
- Industry: Retail (Experience in retail finance is a MUST)
- Reporting to: Current VP of Finance
- Direct Reports: 4 (Controller, Financial Analyst, Accounting Manager, Real Estate Manager)
- Location: 5 days onsite (Non-negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Finance & Accounting, including:
- Bank loans
- Day-to-day financial operations
- Communication and coordination across departments
- Provide strategic financial leadership while learning to step into the CFO role.
- Lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis for the company’s operations, including:
- Retail stores
- Real estate investments
- Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team to support business growth.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive financial strategy and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Retail industry experience REQUIRED.
- CPA highly preferred (The company operates like a public company despite being private).
- Experience with Epicor or other retail finance applications is a plus.
- Previous supermarket industry experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with a long-term vision for career growth.
