What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Staff Compliance Engineer position at The Connors Group?
Our client is seeking a Compliance Engineer to support the development of products and assure current product compliance to international, federal, state and local regulations. The Compliance Engineer will provide technical support to the business through the expertise of codes and standards related to the product as well as coordinate certifications and compliance with domestic and international Government and independent test agencies.
What You’ll Do
- Validate and prepare products to ensure compliance with the applicable product-safety (UL/IEC 60950-1 and 62368-1) and EMC standards (FCC, ICES, CE) and certifications
- Work closely with hardware design teams throughout the product lifecycle to obtain the required regulatory compliance and safety certifications
- Apply and prepare for global certification applications, and resolve issues of ongoing compliance efforts
- Validate and ensure any product shipped out of manufacturing facility is compliant with the applicable standards and certifications
- Ensure any modification to existing product design is compliant with applicable standards and certification
- Follow revision of applicable standards and certification requirements to ensure all designs and products are compliant at any time
- Assist in certificate factory audits to ensure company is compliant with follow-up services and inspections.
What You Bring
- 8 years of experience
- Computer hardware industry/Manufacturing experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Outlook and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
- Experience with global regulatory certification requirements and processes, specifically U.S., Asia, and Europe.
- Knowledge and experience of materials utilized in computer/server, electrical, and mechanical manufacturing environments
- Project management experience
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
