Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Wholesale Apparel Sales Representative with a strong background in Misses clothing and a proven track record in the off-price retail market. The ideal candidate will have established relationships and contacts within the retail sector and will play a key role in expanding our market presence. This position is based onsite in New York City and requires someone who is highly motivated, driven by sales results, and passionate about fashion and retail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth for Misses apparel within the off-price and department store markets.
  • Client Relationships: Leverage existing relationships and establish new connections with key buyers, off-price retailers, and department stores.
  • Product Presentations: Create and deliver compelling product presentations and line sheets to clients to promote new collections and offerings.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market share in the Misses and off-price categories.
  • Order Management: Manage the full sales cycle, including negotiating terms, closing deals, and overseeing order processing and fulfillment.
  • Market Trends: Stay up to date on fashion trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and sales reports to senior management, highlighting opportunities, risks, and market insights.
  • Trade Shows & Events: Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to enhance visibility and generate leads.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the wholesale apparel industry, specifically in Misses clothing and off-price retail markets.
  • Track Record: Proven success in achieving or exceeding sales targets and growing retail accounts.
  • Industry Contacts: Strong, established relationships with buyers in the off-price and department store retail sectors.
  • Sales Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fashion Knowledge: Deep understanding of fashion trends and customer preferences in the Misses apparel category.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel as needed for meetings, events, and trade shows.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and sales/order management platforms.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
