The West Philadelphia Community Mental Health Consortium, Inc. (Consortium) is a nonprofit (501(c)(3) Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) established in 1967 as one of Philadelphia’s twelve CMHCs. Throughout our history, we have pioneered providing behavioral health services with ‘compassion first’ priorities coupled with excellence in mental health treatments and collaborative understanding. For over five decades, we have helped more than 250,000 people throughout the tri-state area overcome the challenges of mental illness and substance abuse. We have been the home of many firsts, from the first methadone clinic to the first clinic providing integrated care. We have a proud and diverse history that is driven by our community. We have created a compelling record of helping people reach their full potential while strengthening Philadelphia communities, one person at a time, one family at a time.
Located in West Philadelphia, the Consortium is the premier provider of Supports Coordination, Outpatient Mental Health, Addictions, Case Management, Eco-systemic Family Therapy (ESFT) and Functional Family Therapy (FFT) for all ages in West and Southwest Philadelphia, serving approximately 4,000 individuals in 2022.
