What are the responsibilities and job description for the Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes Administrator position at The Consortium?
REMOTE USA 3 openings. MBI or Top Secret Clearance Required
Proficient in container orchestration, platform operations, and cloud-native applications, with extensive experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
Duties : Build, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters.
Configure and oversee containerized applications running on OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms.
Develop automated solutions for cluster setup, configuration, and deployments using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
Integrate CI / CD pipelines and tools, including Jenkins, Maven, and GitHub, with Kubernetes / OpenShift ecosystems.
Create documentation and resolve issues related to containerized applications.
7 years or more of relevant technical experience
- 7 years of experience managing and administering Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters
- 6 years of proficiency in scripting languages such as KSH, Bash, and Python
- 6 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible
- 6 years of familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and GitOps practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Maven)
- 6 years of networking in containerized environments, including load balancing, network policies, and traffic ingress / egress
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
