Position : Copy EditorAs a Copy Editor, you will be responsible for editing print, web, video, and other content to maintain the highest standards for clarity, readability, and accuracy. Your key responsibilities will include : Examining body text, headlines, decks, captions, credits, charts, and all other editorial components for spelling, grammar, and style.Suggesting possible improvements in meaning, clarity, cohesiveness, balance, and identifying any missing pieces or repetition.Examining photos and illustrations for any potential content problems.Reviewing all online copy for formatting errors, broken links, and other usability flaws.Providing basic fact-checking when necessary.Working efficiently and meticulously on deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.Collaborating with editors and designers while exercising sensitivity to editors’ objectives and writers’ voices.Contributing suggested changes to the organization-wide style guide.Working well within established copy flow and procedures.Qualifications : Experience using Adobe InCopy or InDesign and Microsoft Office, preferably on Macintosh.Experience working on a national magazine, newspaper, or website.For consideration, please submit your resume as a MS Word attachment to careers@consortiuminc.com .The Consortium"Combining Talent with Technology"#J-18808-Ljbffr
