The construction foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating a crew of construction workers on a residential building project, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards by reading blueprints, assigning tasks, managing schedules, monitoring safety compliance, and resolving any issues that arise on the job site.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Create and manage schedules and monitor attendance of the crew.
- Oversee construction sites and supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
- Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans.
- Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment and enforce the proper use of safety gear.
- Manage employees to ensure the project is kept on schedule.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of construction procedures and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and fix routine errors.
- In-depth knowledge of safety guidelines and best practices.
- Strong managerial skills with a warm personality.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. (over head at times)
- Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to work at heights of up to 25’ on ladders, scaffolding, lifts, rafters, or roofs.
License/Certification/Driving
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- Drive to different job sites daily and ability to haul materials to the site.
- Exceptional driving experience hauling trailers and unloading/loading small machinery and materials.
- Minimum 5 years in residential construction experience. Supervisory role experience preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
