Overview
The Online Merchandising Manager position manages the execution of the website merchandising to achieve web generated sales and marketing goals. This position will drive decisions that increase online conversion through analytics and site merchandising. The Online Merchandising Manager is expected to improve product presentation, navigation, cross-sells/product recommendations and identify other content-driven merchandising opportunities based on data analytics and competitive analysis. This position works closely with the Buying, Creative, Marketing, Site Content, Visual Sales and Technology teams to enhance and build the online assortment, product information, category information and website merchandising. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop site merchandising strategies that support key strategic initiatives, launches, top sellers, seasonal campaigns and trends
- Creates and optimizes all product categories in partnership with the Site Content team while focusing on brand value
- Utilizes analytics to track and evaluate site user behavior and makes recommendations to site and usability enhancements
- Manages the site to ensure merchandise assortment, product categorization and taxonomy maximizes sales and is effectively presented to the customer across all categories
- Monitors competitive landscape and industry trends
- Partners with Buying and Creative to ensure product features and benefits are being translated to our site in a way that is consistent with strategy
- Understands the content management system and its merchandising ability and potential; able to mine for new merchandising opportunities using content management functionality
- Uses third party partner tools to optimize site:
- Web Analytics
- Search Engine/Navigation
- A/B Testing
- Product Recommendations: monitor for relevance
- Provides weekly business recapping for assigned categories to leadership while also utilizing recaps to make site merchandising and optimization decisions to drive web generated sales
- Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
- Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
- Performs other requested tasks and duties
- Manages 1 direct report

Experience and Skills Required
- College degree required
- 5-7 years experience in online merchandising
- Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; HTML knowledge a plus
- Demonstrated success in establishing and implementing merchandising strategies and tactics on a website for a multi-channel retailer
- Expertise in site analytics with strong business acumen to make data driven decisions
- Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both written and verbal, at all levels internally and outside the organization
- Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects
- Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
- Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
- Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information
