- Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in both residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand plumbing layouts and installations.
- Support in the assembly, installation, and repair of pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in plumbing work.
- Learn to test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functionality.
- Assist with job site clean-up and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and plumbing codes under the supervision of a licensed plumber.
- Provide support on emergency service calls and client repairs.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of tasks performed and materials used.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and improving plumbing skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to learn plumbing techniques and commitment to developing hands-on skills.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools (preferred but not required).
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments (e.g., lifting, standing for extended periods, working in tight spaces).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Interest in pursuing a Journeyman Plumber license in the future.
