Key Responsibilities
- Estimate project costs based on site conditions, materials, and labor requirements.
- Bid on a competitive basis and submit detailed proposals and sealed bids.
- Create daily schedules for crews to ensure seamless job execution.
- Travel to potential job sites to assess conditions and meet with site owners or representatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Communicate effectively with foremen and crews to coordinate job details.
- Follow up with previous customers to discuss future projects and maintain business relationships.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
- 3-5 years of experience in the asphalt paving industry.
- Proven experience in asphalt estimating and bidding.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, materials, and project requirements.
- Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and in-person interactions).
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with crews, supervisors, and clients.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
