Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- General Carpentry: Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including basic framing, roofing and siding repairs, construction repairs, and other duties as assigned.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with local codes and regulations.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools efficiently and safely.
- Safety Adherence: Follow jobsite safety guidelines at all times, including the safe transport of equipment and materials to job sites.
- Equipment Setup: Safely set up ladders, scaffolding, and hoisting equipment as needed for the job.
- Tool Maintenance: Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly used, maintained, and stored.
- Worksite Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment on all job sites.
- Progress Reporting: Update the supervisor regularly on job progress and report any issues or challenges related to the job.
- Experience: minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills are essential.
- Attendance: Good attendance and punctuality are required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Preferred Skills: Flat roofing experience is preferred but not required.
- Language and Math Skills: Ability to read and write legibly in English and possess a good understanding of basic math.
- Licensing: Must have a valid driver's license.
- Instruction Compliance: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Teamwork: Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Weather Conditions: Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
