Job Overview
Laurita Inc., a premier site development contractor established in 1984, is searching for a detail-oriented and ambitious Civil Estimator to help expand our growing operations in the Northern Virginia region. This role involves managing work from pre-construction through project completion, playing a pivotal part in our team's success. Based out of our Manassas, VA office, you'll be instrumental in driving project success by analyzing bid documents, managing vendor relationships, and contributing innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle

Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly analyze bid documents, project plans, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Attend and actively participate in client progress meetings (daily, weekly, or monthly as needed).
- Prepare detailed daily reports, project schedules (3-week lookaheads), and material delivery timelines.
- Submit and track materials information for client approvals.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and subcontractors.
- Evaluate and manage bids from vendors and subcontractors for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions, restrictions, and project challenges.
- Develop and implement cost-effective workflows throughout the project lifecycle.
- Use Microsoft Office applications for project documentation and reporting.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure project success.
- Ability to perform earthwork takeoffs.
- Familiarity with HCSS Heavybid software.
