Job OverviewHawkins Electric Service Inc. is looking for an experienced Commercial Electrician Foreman to lead our electrical crews and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and up to our high-quality standards. As the key link between the office and the field, you will be responsible for managing workforce productivity, enforcing safety and compliance regulations, and maintaining open communication with project managers. - Lead and supervise commercial electrical crews to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Conduct daily safety talks and enforce OSHA & NEC compliance.
- Identify change order requests and notify project managers.
- Communicate material needs or discrepancies to the project manager.
- Maintain daily job logs, expense reports, and time-off requests.
- Ensure production schedules are met with proper manpower and materials.
- Assist crews with electrical tasks as needed.
- Evaluate team members to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a professional and positive work environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Maryland Journeyperson License required (DC & VA licenses desired).
- Experience: At least 8 years in an electrical environment, preferably in commercial construction or service.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Skills:
- Strong ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and operate power tools.
- Capable of laying out projects and assigning personnel based on strengths.
- Ability to document job progress and personnel matters and report them to the PM.
- Proficient in all levels of electrical installation and repair.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods and work in inclement weather.
- Ability to lift, crawl, climb, carry, and bend throughout the workday.
- Must maintain a clean driving record (MVR report required).
