Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Field Management: Oversee the total field effort on assigned projects to ensure the highest quality of work, optimal personnel performance, and that budget and schedule requirements are met.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all company, departmental, and technical policies, procedures, and safety standards. Implement and interpret safety programs as needed.
- Supervision: Schedule, coordinate, and supervise employees, subcontractors, and construction equipment to maximize productivity on the job site.
- Work Scheduling: Initiate and manage work schedules to ensure the timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Drawings & Specifications Review: Routinely review project drawings and specifications to ensure that all work aligns with project plans.
- Subcontractor Management: Ensure subcontractors and suppliers comply with all project specifications, codes, and timelines.
- Change Documentation: Document any changes made by architects or owners, obtaining timely approval from the project manager as required.
- Inspection Scheduling: Schedule all necessary inspections and coordinate any required testing.
- Safety Representative: Serve as the primary safety representative on the project, reporting all accidents and completing first-report paperwork.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the project manager and office manager to review construction schedules, pay requests, and job cost reports.
- Supplier & Material Scheduling: Schedule materials and suppliers to ensure that project needs are met in a timely manner.
- Manpower Coordination: Monitor and adjust manpower requirements to meet established project schedules.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years of experience in a Superintendent role.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with reading blueprints, project specifications, and job cost reports.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing field employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Safety Certifications: Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 10 or 30 hour, First Aid, and CPR certifications. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with project managers, clients, and on-site teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks with a keen focus on quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
