Job Overview

Pondosa Projects is seeking a meticulous and motivated Part-Time Bookkeeper to oversee financial operations and ensure accuracy across our construction projects. Based in Baltimore City, this position is ideal for someone with previous experience in construction or small business accounting who is excited to help a boutique company grow its impact in residential and commercial renovations.

This is a critical support role where you'll be trusted to manage transactions, generate reports, run payroll, and help keep our financial house in order. While construction experience is preferred, we're happy to train someone who's sharp, organized, and eager to learn our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including client billing and vendor payments
• Log transactions, receipts, and maintain organized records of all financial activities
• Track project-specific expenses and maintain job cost reports
• Run payroll as needed and prepare supporting documentation for the CPA
• Generate basic financial reports on project and company performance
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors regarding invoices and payment schedules
  
  

Qualifications

• Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping experience
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Wave
• Valid driver's license and U.S. work authorization
• Proficient in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
• Preferred:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 years of experience bookkeeping in the construction or trades industry
• Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Buildertrend, ProCore)

Schedule

• Part-Time: 10-20 hours per week, flexible scheduling based on project volume
