Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule daily work of earthwork crews.
- Serve as the primary liaison between field teams, superintendents, and office personnel.
- Conduct job site assessments, identify risks, and proactively manage field conditions.
- Review submittals and field reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Perform material take-offs and order tools, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain safety compliance and conduct regular safety meetings with the crew.
- Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies on all job sites.
- Coordinate sub-contractor performance and ensure cross-trade scheduling efficiency.
- Prepare and review job costing, labor tracking, daily time sheets, and two-week lookaheads.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Mentor and manage field personnel, including hiring, discipline, and on-the-job training.
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment and perform skilled earthwork as needed.
- Prepare and submit field reports and other documentation as required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in site development or earthwork construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Proven experience with grading, site prep, excavation, and related earthwork operations.
- Ability to read blueprints, grading plans, and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in managing schedules, crews, budgets, and materials.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe job site practices.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions year-round.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
