Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Ensure safety on all projects, meeting with EHS regularly (at least once a week).
- Monitor project status and costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines.
- Submit accurate billing information to the administration staff for invoice creation.
- Produce and maintain project budgets, providing accurate forecasting.
- Estimate or manage the estimation of large projects, ensuring thorough and competitive bids.
- Provide clear project/estimate pass downs to ensure seamless transitions.
- Review field leads project plans and holds team members accountable for their tasks.
- Review and approve timecards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Complete or review permit applications and ensure timely submission.
- Review subcontracts to ensure compliance and alignment with project goals.
- Discuss project schedules and manpower needs, making adjustments as necessary.
- Coordinate project equipment and material submittals to ensure timely procurement.
- Review all change orders/proposals prior to submission.
- Ensure the purchase of all long lead items and approve all large tool/equipment purchases.
- Perform weekly project walks with the field superintendent to verify progress and conduct field safety audits.
- Approve all overtime requests.
- Approve or deny any extra or out-of-scope work.
- Review material orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the superintendent to develop project-specific work schedules.
- Experience: 10 years of experience in the electrical trade.
- Certification: PMP certification preferred.
- Project Management: Proven experience managing multiple projects valued at $2 million and above.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Safety Focused: Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Industry Expertise: Experience working in heavy commercial and industrial projects in; utilities, manufacturing, infrastructure, power plants, papermills, chemical plants, food and beverage plants.
